Revised Planning Application submitted – The Wheatsheaf Development. 07/09/2017

After our previous Application was refused in May, we continued with the renovation and conversion works of the old pub building.

During the course of the work we needed to remove the chimneys, roof, internal walls and floors, due to movement and decay. This fully revealed the poor structural condition of the building.

On the advice of the Structural Engineer we ceased renovation work and fully braced the building for added support. Their advice was to seek permission to demolish and rebuild as new.

The Conservation and Planning Officers were consulted and a new Planning Application was submitted at the end of August. The new building is designed to look the same as that proposed by the original conversion works to comply with the Conservation Area requirements.
