Making way for a new development in Broadstone. 31/10/2022

Karm Homes acquired a prime located site in West Way, central Broadstone, Dorset for a new development. Before demolition, the site consisted of a pre 1950’s detached 5 bedroom house, set back from the road and dark with overgrown vegetation. Plans were submitted and accepted to demolish the existing building and develop 6 new luxury apartments, in keeping with the local area, supplying the high demand for low maintenance homes near great amenities, leisure facilities and services.

In October 2022 we started working on the site, which needed considerate clearing and protection of the trees, prior to demolition. We expect high demand for these new properties, with one early off plan reservation already agreed! Our build programme should see us through to the Autumn of 2023.

Five of the six 2 bedroom apartments have outside space, with the ground floor units having a garden and the first and second floor have good sized balconies. All of the properties benefit from luxury kitchens with Quartz worktops, integrated ‘higher end’ appliances and 2 bathrooms. All the hot water and underfloor heating are fed from an Air Source Heat Pump meaning we avoid the use of gas within the development, which is very much in line with our mission to build greener and more energy efficient homes.

There will be a passenger lift and security entry phone system. Externally there are 5 oak framed heritage style car ports with personal cupboards providing useful storage and electric vehicle charging points.
